I was delighted when Austin, the founder of Stutterbox Productions, approached me to redesign the branding for his local electronic music festival.
I've always enjoyed collaborating with creative individuals, and Austin's enthusiasm about the project was infectious. While I appreciate the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, I also understand the importance of dedicating focused energy to each endeavor. This project was particularly rewarding, despite the significant time investment.
The festival's original branding, featuring a school bus mascot, presented an immediate design challenge. To align with the target audience's preferences, I aimed to create a visual identity that was both contemporary and evocative of the psychedelic culture associated with electronic music. The resulting artwork is a departure from the typical dark aesthetic often found in this genre; it's fun, but intended for adults.
